From Bagnacavallo to Finland: finnish traditional slippers are now produced in Romagna
“Aino” and “Reino” are two types of slippers, very important in Finland. Some months ago, with the failure of a finnish firma for inner problems, those two comfortable shoes began to be produced in Bagnacavallo. Due to the long experience in the field, the Emanuela shoe firma has been selected from Finlavson (a scandinavian group , which over two centuries has been producing vulcanized shoes and has more than 100 stores) to produce and export traditional finnish slippers.
This relationship has begun in the middle of 2019 and by the end of the year has become real with the delivery of 50 thousands of slippers circa. In 2020, the furniture should be doubled, including models for children( 20-34) and large numbers( over 46)
“ From longtime we were looking for export partners, by contacting european agents and partecipating to exhibitions” tells Emanuela, owner of the firma, built up by her parents which named it after her,. “We have never worked for Finland, this partnership is very importan and is building up day by day. From their models we have designed ad hoc moulds, using more high quality materials as felt and cork heels. Thanks to a proper advertising campaign made from Finlavson, the positive response from Finland was immediate.” In march, the heads of the firma will travel to Finland to verify the success and build up the partnership.
